Questions, Activities & Experiments to develop Social Leadership
60 Seconds a day, in dialogue with your practice
Social Leadership takes place at the intersection of systems. When i published the 1st Edition of the ‘Social Leadership Handbook’, back in 2014, i wanted to explore the broadest of ideas. But i rapidly wanted to bring it down to the level of our practice: what do we actually do, day by day?
A few years later, i published ‘Social Leadership: my 1st 100 days’, which provided 100 days of activity, taking 3-5 minutes a day.
This work, Social Leadership Daily, is the evolution and refinement of that work. It’s a space for practitioners, not perfectionists. It’s a community engaged with it’s practice. Imperfect, but in good company.
Sixty seconds a day, to be in dialogue with your practice.
Every day i share a sixty second reflection, question, or challenge. And each day i ask you to spend sixty seconds doing something.
You can read the post, watch the video, or listen to it as a podcast. Whatever fits into the flow of your day.
This is pragmatic work: it considers that leadership is inherently imperfect: not something we become, as a destination, but something we strive for, in an imperfect journey.
The key is to be in motion, in community, and in conversation.
This work is shared as part of my own practice of #WorkingOutLoud. It’s both imperfect and fragile. Some days i do well, others i fail. But i do so in the arms of this community.
This work is free, and always will be: some people are in a position to subscribe, which gives them nothing extra, but does give me space to continue my research and writing.
