My new book, ‘Quiet Leadership’ is published this week: you can download the free eBook version here (or paperback will be on Amazon later this month. It’s an exploration of humility, kindness, fairness, and grace. Leadership through the smallest of actions.
I share it here because our practice of ‘Social Leadership Daily’ is also about the smallest of actions. Sometimes i call it ‘the first three steps’, but crucially the three steps that you take today.
Use your sixty seconds today to think about that: which steps can you take today, and which must wait, and why?
If not today, what do you lack? Imperative? Permission? Urgency or pain? Capability or comfort?
In my own research into leading through change, the two words that are most often used to describe ‘the leadership we need’ are ‘brave’ and ‘courageous’ - but why is that the case? Why would change require bravery, if the system wishes to change?
Quiet Leadership explores the Organisation as Ecosystem, and considers how we each cast a shadow into that space. Even good people like you and me.
