Day #120
Sometimes circumstance can make someone extraordinary. They end up in a particular place, at a particular time, they take a specific action, and it makes them extraordinary.
Maybe they do something that few others would be brave enough to do - maybe they stand up for an injustice - maybe they right a wrong - maybe they simply stand in solidarity.
For others, equally extraordinary, their status comes from sustained effort over time: through insight, hard work, directed effort, they become expert, they achieve the seemingly impossible, they defy the odds.
Some extraordinary people would deny that they are so: and some very ordinary people believe that they are elevated.
Use your sixty seconds today to think about extraordinary people who you may know, either personally or through reputation.
Why do you think them so? How do you value them? Is there anything to learn from them?
For me, the most extraordinary people are often those who see nothing remarkable about themselves, but i tend to value their hard work and determination. For me, work ethic and determination are valuable traits. But not the only ones.
