Day #151

Sharing Uncertainty

I spoke to someone last week who described how they had learned something, then shared it with their team - but not as an ‘answer’ - rather with uncertainty.

Here is a thing: i found it interesting, but did not know quite what to do with it.

This is interesting for two reasons: firstly because sometimes our power can be held in our certainty (so to be uncertain is to be weak) and secondly because it opens up the potential to ‘make sense’ of the thing together.

Use your sixty seconds today to consider how you hold your own certainty: and power or curiosity, or in some other way.

This week on Social Leadership Daily, as we explore our Social Leadership in Practice, we will be thinking about the ways that we share.
