I think we will spend this week considering the regeneration of the systems that surround us: the culture of an organisation in transformation, or the regeneration of our societies as they continue to adapt and adjust to the emerging context of the hybrid world of work.
There is a notion in regeneration that we take a knock, sustain an injury, and then return to health. We heal.
Organisations seek to do this as they change (change itself inherently being an act of violence against multiple structures). So in this sense, often by design, they are injured and heal.
So what is the role of leadership within this?
Use your sixty seconds today to consider your role, as a Social Leader, as we heal from change.
Is your role to reassure, or to rehabilitate? To offer comfort as the system heals itself, or to actively do something to enable that very healing to happen?
It was great to see some of your for our first Social Leadership Community Meet-up last week. I aim to offer these monthly, and anyone is welcome. Keep an eye out here for more details (and i will share here when they are next scheduled).
