Day #173

Scars

Do Organisations gain scars as they heal, or do they grow back as good as new?

This week we are considering the idea of regeneration, and specifically the role of a Social Leader to observe, participate in, support, or direct, this recuperation and reformation.

If Organisations scar as they heal, then by logic the older they get, the more injuries and scars they carry. But perhaps it does not feel like this?

Maybe instead they heal ‘as good as new’, but hold onto stories of how they were injured - the folklore of change, the memories of culture?

Or perhaps they change, without scars, and without memory, which risks losing recollection of both any avoidable pain, and also the wisdom that may accompany it.

Use your sixty seconds today to consider this: does your Organisation bear scars, or is it blemish free, but still wise?
