Day #211

Wisdom

We had all the grandparents visiting yesterday, and i managed to spend some time with them, with my three year old, in the garden. Between them they have almost 220 years experience, so i thought it best to avail myself of the wisdom.

One has a great deal of experience growing fruit and vegetables, and from the other side of the family a huge experience with flowers and trees.

This, of course, is the benefit of our tribal wisdom: spread through social connection, and contextual to what we are trying to do, together.

At one point, as they all stood around discussing the tulip bulbs and whether they were ready to raise, i was able to make a round of tea before returning to the culmination of the debate.

Use your sixty seconds today to consider where you find wisdom around you.

And if you have time, to wonder if, and where, you impart it yourself. Who do you look to, and who looks to you?
