Day #234

Return

-1:14

I got back from holiday yesterday: two weeks touring Wales with the children, living out of the back of the Land Rover. I love that time under canvas, and it feels more special now that my son is three, and forming memories that will last.

Reading stories round the campfire (and teaching him to light a fire!), and all lying together in the tent as the sun rises. These things feel very real, very special. So i am returning to work with a degree of trepidation: i think we maybe all feel this sometimes - we want to preserve the peace and balance of holiday, but with a recognition of the breaking waves of busyness that approach.

There is no real question or challenge for you today beyond this: use your sixty seconds to check in and tune in.

This is a fundamental of Social Leadership: to keep stoping, stepping out, looking around. To see and feel what is in balance, and what needs our attention. What we hope will persist, and what we need to put the work in to change.

Thank you also to those of you who shared messages whilst i was away - it was lovey to hear how these snippets of reflective space have become important to you, and i am glad to be sharing them again.
