Day #253

Imperfection

It was a long travel day yesterday, and when i arrived at my hotel in London, i was told i had to download and set up an App to check in. Which was a terrible experience, and took me 15 minutes. So i ended up being rude to someone, which is quite unlike me.

Of course it was unfair: that poor person had neither designed the system, nor were they accountable for the use of the system. But they were the only person to hand.

It reminded me of the book i read with my son about kindness: that you should remember to be kind, even when you are tired.

Use your sixty seconds today to consider how you behave when you are tired: do you lose space to think, do you become focussed or flustered, or are you simply able to power through?

Nobody is perfect, but our reflective practice is to be unafraid to look at ourselves, imperfect as we are.
