Day #264 - Sharing Uncertainty

This week we are considering ‘Sharing’ in Social Leadership, and today i want to think about uncertainty.

We are bought up in systems where certainty equates to power, and uncertainty may be viewed as weakness or doubt. But how can we learn if we are unable to be unsure? And how does culture affect uncertainty?

Sharing your own uncertainty may create space for others to do so.

Use your sixty seconds today to think of something you are uncertain about - and if you wish, use that as a foundation for a conversation with one other person or in a team.

You may be uncertain about your own skills or capability, or if you need to learn something new or not. You may be uncertain about how to lead, or indeed how to be led. You may be uncertain about what is happening geopolitically, or ethically, in the world around you. Or you may simply be uncertain about whether people truly know you for who you are.

Today, tackle, and share, uncertainty.
