Day #269 - Learning the Culture

Everything, or Nothing?

How does your Organisation define it’s culture: does it use values, or behaviours, both, or something else entirely. And what impact does this have on your everyday behaviour?

Use your sixty seconds today to think about how you learned the culture of your Organisation.

Some people describe their Organisational culture as being ‘lived’ every day. For others, it’s abstract: they still live a culture, but it’s not necessarily shared widely.

Does this matter?

Sometimes our role as a Social Leader is to question the obvious and pervasive: should Organisations talk about culture and values at all, or do these things emerge within motivated teams by themselves? Does conformity at scale deliver benefit, or is the act of co-creation, in tribes, more important?
