Do you ever hold yourself back in what you say?
Use your sixty seconds today to ask yourself why.
Is it because you are unsure of what you think, or that you are unsure of what others think? Or of how they will hear you?
Does a formal rule prevent you from speaking, or a social convention?
Do you hold yourself back because of how you feel your words will land, or how you will be judged for offering them?
Of course, in many cases we hold back because we are not yet ready to speak, but perhaps sometimes because we are uncertain, unsure, or simply think others will not want to hear what we need to say.
Sometimes a role of Social Leadership is to say what needs to be said, and sometimes it is to ensure that others have a voice and space to share their own words too
