One way to weave strength into a network is invisibly: to speak about someone and carry their reputation forwards, even when they cannot hear.
Use your sixty seconds today to do this, in one email or conversation. Someone you know, who adds value to you, whose reputation you admire and hold safely - represent them forwards.
Perhaps suggest them for an opportunity, or even simply suggest that someone may benefit from a conversation. As always, do this with context - i think you would find value in a conversation with X because this is what they have given me.
If this feels artificial, consider why: should we rely on good luck to find the people we may find great value in, or would we benefit from an introduction? And is reputation something that we just observe, or can we actively give it too?
