Day #286 - Layers of Community

What can we learn?

Spaces may hold layers of communities, some of which we almost never see. From my office window i can see the commuters going past, the parents off to school, but also the street cleaners, and the homeless. Some of these interact amongst themselves - the parents saying good morning, the shopkeepers greeting the street cleaner, and some have no interaction at all. It’s like we co-exist and yet are not one community.

Use your sixty seconds today to consider the layers of your own spaces: at work, or outside of it.

Are there layers, and if so, do they simply inhabit the same space, or do they communicate. And if not, what assumptions do we hold about each other?

And what could we learn from each other?
