Yesterday i asked ‘Who Keeps You Safe?’ Today, i want to consider where we feel safe, and our role as Social Leaders in creating that safety.
People typically describe that they are effective within small and trusted communities, which exist throughout their formal structures of work. If we feel safe, we are more likely to experiment, explore, and forgive each other our failures.
But where are these communities? Sometimes physical spaces that teams inhabit, sometimes virtual ones: WhatsApp groups, private channels, social technologies.
Use your sixty seconds today to consider in which spaces you feel safe. And then how those spaces were made.
Does the technology make them safe, the location, the ownership, the context, or is it the action of others?
