It’s the 300th episode of Social Leadership Daily, which feels like i should celebrate it in some way. But celebration feels a little out of kilter with the purpose of this work. Perhaps a short reflection instead.
I have learnt quite a lot in developing this daily practice, and through the feedback from this community. My aim was to focus on being ‘in practice’, on the small actions we take every day to develop ourselves and hence the systems around us. The structure, just 60 seconds, reflects this: not monumental work, but foundational. Even for busy people.
I recognise that part of this work is for you, and part is for me. The discipline of thinking and writing about Social Leadership specifically in each day helps to expand and explore my own thinking. And in particular to think about the things that really matter (at a practical, behavioural level). I know i don’t always get it right, but that’s the nature of being in practice, or being imperfect, which are probably much the same thing.
