Who is your most valuable disagree-er?
I have a few friends that i disagree with: we sit on opposite ends of different spectra - political, methodological, belief or philosophically. But we have found value in each other and our conversations.
It’s a remarkably useful thing: to be different and yet connected. A reminder that community is not about conformity, and that difference can be held safely, rather than in conquest.
So use your sixty seconds today to consider who you can safely disagree with, and if that’s a hard question, consider whether you need to find more of this?
It is, of course, comforting to be right. But it can be informative to explore wrong too.
