River and i cycled to school along the beach this morning: in the aftermath of the storm the path was covered in seaweed and sand, with the bins washed out onto the beach.
It felt pretty wild, but also renewed somehow. Washed clean, despite the mess.
I’m reminded that the winter storms break the weak branches and clear the old leaves, part of the cycle of renewal.
