I wrote this today for the Captain’s Log:
“There is a consideration in our leadership as to our stance on equality and inclusion: the degree to which we actively campaign, or tacitly support, to which we take action, or simply try to do no harm.“
This is our choice: do we intervene when things go wrong, acting as custodian and security guard, or do we strive to improve the soil, to tend to the ecosystem, to create conditions for growth. This is the act of the farmer or gardener.
Often the action lies in silence and space: to listen, to create space, and to connect between stories and communities. The act of the Social Leader as weaver of story and connection. And as story listener.
Use your sixty seconds today to consider how you sit, or stand, within your culture.
