I had a big conversation with a friend last night, and he said at one point ‘wouldn’t it be interesting to know how people really work’. I understood why: we had been talking about the conflict in the world, and how much easier it is to be in conflict than to live in peace.
In some ways, understanding how people work is not that difficult or big a question: we generally work for ourselves and our groups. Our efforts are to keep them together, safe, fed and watered, and to reinforce our connections.
Whilst we have the capacity to be altruistic, to bridge differences, and to act selflessly, it may not be the norm.
Whilst it’s a big question, use your sixty seconds today to consider yourself in this light: how do you work?
And how often are you conscious of it?
I’ve largely lost my voice this week, so our Dailies are text only!
