We circle round to gratitude today: i met up with two friends this week. One gave me a book, and the other i gave a book to. Both in gratitude.
The books were imbued with value because of what was written in them. One to me, one to the other. One received, one given. In this sense the book acts as a totem, something into which we put value, and pass it on.
Use your sixty seconds today in gratitude.
You could say ‘thank you’ to someone - but if you do, add the context. Thank you for this thing: this is what it gave me, how it felt to me, or what it enabled me to do.
There are other ways to show gratitude: some almost silent. You can send an anonymous postcard, you can bring biscuits, you can share resource or share time. You can simply create a space to listen.
Thank you for being part of this community: a global community in practice. In this space, i never feel alone.
