In one of my first jobs i had a pretty terrible manager. Terrible in most traditional respects, but excellent in one. He taught me how important it was to celebrate success.
We are all familiar with the routine: things go well, things go badly, and we have our ups and downs.
But when things go right, we should take the time to celebrate: not just to cheer, but to recognise people, to thank them, to be clear about the pride we take, and to take a pause from the ‘everyday’ business to recognise what we have achieved.
And of course this applies equally to when we see people have personal success: ensure that we celebrate them.
Use your sixty seconds today to think about how you will celebrate the next success.
