Today i am back from paternity leave, and restarting Social Leadership Daily for a new run that will take us through to Christmas.
In ‘The Social Leadership Handbook’ i describe ‘Social Capital’ as the ability to survive and thrive in a socially connected world, and the responsibility of Social Leaders both to build it themselves, and also to ensure that others have it or are not left behind.
Since that work, published back in 2017, i have refined my understanding to include a greater emphasis on the Social Currencies - i guess you could see these are the mechanisms through which Social Capital is earned and traded.
To ease us back into our daily reflection, perhaps use your sixty second today to ask yourself these questions:
Am i comfortable in a connected world - and is that comfort innate to me, or held in the context of my community and work?
Can i observe others who are more, or les comfortable that i am?
