I was quite nervous yesterday, delivering a session guiding six people through the Social Leadership work. Six people is not many: i’ve stood up in front of thousands of people before, but i just really felt a pressure to make the work meaningful, to make connections.
I figure that was a good thing: the nerves keep me on my toes, and remind me that parts of my work are strong, and other parts are weak - i just may not yet know which is which.
Sometimes it’s good to be nervous, because the pressure we feel is within our control or space of operation. Sometimes it’s harder, because the pressure is unfair or beyond our control.
Use your sixty seconds today to ask when you feel nervous, if indeed you ever do. And if you do, what type pf pressure is it that you feel?
