In the Quiet Leadership session this morning, we talked about the ‘weight’ that we carry, or that we see others carrying.
Use your sixty seconds today to think about this: what weight do you carry or what weight have you asked someone to carry for you?
Today I’m in London, so my partner is picking up the children, and cooking dinner, which is a ‘weight’ in itself. I am only able to perform in my space because she is carrying all the weight in the other.
‘Weight’ is a funny thing: something I feel is heavy may be light as a feather for you. Or Mayne you carry something very light, but of great importance for us all.
We may also consider what the role of a leader is: to distribute the weight, to carry some of it, or to check that nobody is falling over under the load.
