Today is one of those frustrating days when I have to be sociable but feel like being alone. I’ve been working on some challenging projects, collaborating on ideas for the Planetary Philosophy and Learning Science books, and whilst I have not been that busy, I just feel that I’m done with people - I need some space.
Hence, I am probably a bit cranky and erratic.
It’s ok to listen to your head sometimes: in the Quiet Leadership work we talk about how we carry weights, and what we are able to put down, or what gets imposed onto others. Today I just feel that every conversation is putting weight onto me, and hence I’m hiding from it.
I nearly didn’t write in this space today, but I figure I can share it here ok.
Use your sixty seconds today just to check in: how you are feeling, and if the answer is ‘good’, then perhaps carry that question forwards to someone else. Weaving strength and connection through the very smallest of actions.
If you also feel a bit ‘done’ with the week, then you are welcome here, as you always are.
This is a community in dialogue with our practice, and everyone is welcome in this space. However you turn up.
I needed this today. Thanks.
