I discovered today that i have a nickname from the staff at my morning coffee shop: Americano Guy. I have to say, i’m disappointed.
Out of everything i am, and everything i do, to be known as Americano Guy feels like a pretty narrow lens. Plus i cannot help but feel that every other guy who walks through the door gets an Americano. I feel very normal.
Use your sixty seconds today to find more depth in someone who you see, but may not know: perhaps a colleague, a neighbour, or your receptionist.
Much of the richness we may find in our Community is not hidden out of sight, but rather already right in front of us.
One of my current research projects is exploring ‘The Experimental Organisation’ - looking at how our organisations experiment, learn, and learn to change. You can read more about it here.
