I asked River what he wanted to be when he grows up: after extensive deliberation he replied ‘I want to be River’. Well, i guess it’s good to be comfortable in yourself.
Aged three i figured it was an easy question, but how easy is it now?
Have some fun with it: use your sixty seconds today to think what you want to be when you grow up. When you really grow up.
Will you still want to be yourself, as you are now, or will you be a different self?
In ‘The Identity Project’, people clearly describe how they have changed, in themselves, and yet often describe ‘traits’, or an ‘essence’ that persists. One person said that their dance teacher, from aged 4-17, had said they still recognised that child in them today.
