Please help with the book title...
Choosing the name
I know none of you have read the book… but I do need help choosing the title. I thought i’d share the current ‘blurb’ from the back cover, and the four options we are currently considering. I can’t promise that we will go with one of these… but I am trying to decide!
I am not a philosopher, but I watch patterns. In people, organisations, and the systems that shape our lives.
Our accelerating progress has come at a terrible cost: we have torn ourselves from the landscape, and inflicted untold harm to the ecosystems that sustain us. We have subverted our mechanisms of cognition and culture. Our structures of religion, citizenship, and identity are all delaminating, tearing apart. What remains when nothing holds still?
Part meditation, part map, this analytic work spans the tensions between technological progress and human connection, between individual identity and collective belonging, between our natural landscapes and our digital ecosystems. It bears witness to what we have lost, and charts a path towards a new balance. A planetary philosophy of the Unreconciled Self.
Through illustrations, poetry, and prose, this beautifully crafted work offers a bold reimagining of what it means to be human in the twenty-first century.
So… which of these options do you prefer (i’m listing them here with the poll below as it won’t let me share the long names in a poll…)
[1] ‘The Unreconciled Self: A Planetary Philosophy’
[2] ‘Unreconciled: What it means to be Human in the 21st Century’
[3] ‘Unreconciled: Being Human in the 21st Century’
[4] ‘Unreconciled: Humanity in Motion’
