Oh my. As always, your observations are spot on. You've also brought up one of my favorite topics: Taylor Swift. As someone who identifies as a Perennial but who is seen as Gen X and whose favorite artist will always be Shirley Manson, I often surprise people when I say that I'm a Swiftie. Yes, it's true that I am a fan of a lot of her music. There is no denying she can craft a a great pop song, but what is most meaningful to me is how the community she has created is so positive and supportive. Taylor Swift acts as a bridge between so many different groups, including generational tribes. On top of connecting people, her songs even help certain fans tell their own stories.
