Day #545 - Swifties

And where you belong
2

Clearly the world divided into those who love Taylor Swift, and those who do not.

And of course we make assumptions and judgements about the people who sit in the other camp.

We are tribal by nature - it’s the foundation of our Social Context, and underlies our sense of togetherness and otherness - our sense of identity (or identities…).

Do you identify as being in any particular groups?

Use your sixty seconds today to consider how that feels.

Just to sit in silence and note in yourself what it gives you to belong: do you feel supported, comforted, needed, oppressed, ignored, safe, or something else?

The key here is to consider that feeling. It’s a foundational aspect of our human experience. To belong - and hence foundational to understanding difference, and separation. To understand the other (and how they may equally ‘belong’, but somewhere else).

(And to note: even if you are not a Swifty, you are welcome here. Just.)
