At various stages in the change process or transition, our role is most likely all of the things you mention. And you are we responsible to? My short offer is 'who are we not responsible to?' and I suggest, "Me PLC" in the quest of meeting bonus or "looking good" deadlines. Correct? ;-)

I'm thinking that as soon as we give up the idea of 'perfect' leadership we open our heart and mind to the freedom and opportunity to be a better leader . . . whatever better might be . . .
