"there is no correct answer ... a few minutes to question if they are correct" that made me chuckle. I think this is a great question though. At various stages in the change process or transition, our role is most likely all of the things you mention. And you are we responsible to? My short offer is 'who are we not responsible to?' and I suggest, "Me PLC" in the quest of meeting bonus or "looking good" deadlines. Correct? ;-)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Marjorie! I recognise that ‘web’ of accountability! In the work on Imperfect Leadership I consider how we cannot possibly balance all these competing demands. And maybe we need to reconsider what we see ‘perfect’ leadership to be…

Thank you Julian. I love your thinking and the non-judgemental, curious way that you share it. Perfect leadership? I'm thinking that as soon as we give up the idea of 'perfect' leadership we open our heart and mind to the freedom and opportunity to be a better leader . . . whatever better might be . . . I'm off to ponder that now . . .
