Power

Circumstance has overtaken me this week: River ended up quite poorly with a chest infection and we spent a rather fraught night in hospital - of course he shook it off as three year olds do, and now we are back to business as usual.

I reminded me of powerlessness. In some systems we hold power, in others we hold none.

Use your sixty seconds today to consider this: in which systems do you hold the most power, and the least.

Some systems lie beyond our ability to influence, but in others we may be able to earn power or control through behaviour, community, or system (you can earn reputation, influence, take action, or be promoted).

Power is a foundational aspect of social systems - they really are nothing more than systems of power. So Social Leaders need to navigate this.
