I’d like to start by wishing you all a Happy New Year!
At the end of the holidays i asked River what his favourite thing had been about Christmas, and he said ‘being with everyone’, which i thought was lovely. Being together is important.
As we start this year, with this being my first piece of writing, i am thinking about this community, about ‘being together’ in our practice, and what this means - for me and for you.
I am always acutely aware that this is strange community in many ways: not one of certainty, nor one of answers, but kind of a community to be lost with, and to be together with.
This year i will do my best to create a space and structure for us to explore together. To consider Social Leadership in our daily practice, and to do so both with both confidence and vulnerability.
I cannot share words to make your journey easier, but i hope i can share those that let us travel in good company.
Use your sixty seconds today to pause - to set your foundation - and to look to the horizon of your self.
That’s the direction we are heading in. To get lost and, i hope, to grow.
