River sent me his first text message yesterday: it said ‘i like it with you’. And i sent back ‘i like it with you too’. We have a lot of fun together. As well as arguments and battles of will. Whilst i’m twelve times older than him, he is twice as stubborn as me, so it kind of cancels out.
But still we like it together. We like being together. Adventuring, making up stories, lighting fires, singing songs, or sometimes just reading to him, or eating together and talking about our day.
No surprise really: we are social creatures. We thrive in company. We are collective. And it’s nice to be reminded of it.
