Day #490 - Libraries

Who do you know?

I was in the library earlier. There are an awful lot of books… i’m pretty sure i’ll never read them all…

Fortunately i have other ways to learn things: not least through the books that you have read.

In the context of the Social Age, knowledge is increasingly distributed, and our Communities are one place where we can find it (as well as being the primary place where we make sense of it).

Use your sixty seconds today to consider what knowledge you carry into your communities.

And think of one other person who ‘fills a gap’.

In Social Leadership we talk about ‘curation’. Curating yourself (where you stand, what you stand for) but also to curate your community. This may include asking where the gaps are. In a world of distributed knowledge, diversity of membership is valuable.
