Day #493 - Imperfection

In dialogue with our practice

Imperfection can be part of our practice, if we choose to embrace it.

The notion that we are not striving for a ‘perfect’ self, but rather a humility to see our reflection, and an intent to remain in motion.

Why would we choose this? To be less than perfect?

Possibly because perfection is an illusion: we operate in complex organisations in dynamic communities, and in shifting contexts. Almost every ‘right’ action will cast a shadow. So we cannot be ‘right’ forever.

Being engaged in your own practice is what counts.

Use your sixty seconds today to sit within your practice, and consider imperfection.

Not as a foundation for action, but rather - in private and safely - to see if you can spot the shadow.

We all cast shadows: our engagement with our imperfection is what matters. Not solving, but in dialogue.
