As we cycled in this morning, i asked River a question, but he said ‘Papa, i’m just enjoying being quiet’, which is fair enough. I have some sympathy. Indeed, he may have inherited that trait from me.

Sometimes, we just need silence: free from notifications, conversations, and noise.

Use your sixty seconds today to find silence.

Or, to create space for others.

When i wrote the Quiet Leadership book, some people mistook the idea of ‘quiet’ for a lack for power, but that is to miss the point. That work is about balance, humility, an engagement with the ecosystem. An acceptance of imperfection, but strongly about purpose.

In quietness we can find motion, in dialogue with our practice.
