Here we are: the #500th episode of Social Leadership Daily! A milestone of sorts in guess. The origin of this work lies in putting the ‘ideas’ of Social Leadership into the ‘practice’ of our everyday lives.
I wanted this to be a space where we can be in dialogue with our own practice. Not in big and dramatic ways, but in small and impactful ones. Having an impact on ourselves, and on those around us.
In this sense it is about an accountability - for myself, into my own practice. Not just to share ideas, but to help construct the bridge into practice. To do things differently.
Not everything has to be practical - reflection is good as well - but there is an honesty in anchoring our efforts, in tripping up and scratching our knees, and then sharing what we have learnt.
Some of you have been here from the start - others have joined along the way. This is currently a community of around 630 people, with an accelerating pace of growth.
Sometimes i get stuck with this work, at other times it just flows. Usually thinking about it too much is a mistake.
This work is free and everyone is welcome in this space. But Substack allows people to pledge support if they wish to, and from the start i have had that support from a small group. You know who you are, and i’m extremely grateful for your support.

I can create this work without any financial support - it’s part of my personal practice - but revenue does help me more broadly, to commit my time into the broader writing and research, and to share it as widely as possible.
