We hold certain power to get things done, but what power do we have to prevent things from happening?

We hold power within different systems: formal and social. Within those structures, Culture is a mechanism by which we are together, but also a mechanism, by which we are held apart.

Our leadership crosses between cultures, between tribes, between formal and social systems. And between systems of power.

Use your sixty seconds today to consider the power that you hold?

The power to make things ‘right’ or to prevent things going ‘wrong’? The times that your power reinforces ‘togetherness’, or whether sometimes it reinforces how we are apart?

In the view of the Organisation as Ecosystem, we act in the light, but part of our impact lands in our shadow. An act of Social Leadership is to witness and engage in this.
