Day 514 - Direct and Indirect Power

Your action and reputation
1

Our leadership is held in both direct and indirect action. The things that we do, and the influence we hold.

Direct action is when we put our hands on something and push. Our intention into movement.

Indirect action is when our reputation, our story, carries influence, creating effect out of our sight, beyond our direct involvement.

Both these things form part of our leadership: one is our personal interaction, the other is how we sit and are experienced within a broader system.

Use your sixty seconds today to consider these two types of power.

Our ‘self’ within the system is perhaps a longer term view. Our direct action is in the moment, right now.

Consider how each type of power is built and used.
