Day #527 - Mud on your Boots

What we gather
Transcript

This week we are in motion, walking through the Organisation as Ecosystem. Crossing boundaries, getting lost!

Look down at your feet: as we travel, we may walk the same paths, we may see the same landmarks. But we gather different mud on our boots.

When we return home, the tread on our boots holds the memory of our journey: the puddles we splashed in the time we stubbed our toes, the seeds and spores of the plants we brushed past.

Use your sixty seconds today to consider what has stuck to your boots as you’ve walked through your own Organisation.

Habits, language, ideas, belief, energy, pride, belonging, or something else?

And consider how unique your own experience is: recognisable to others, but not exactly the same. This notion, that we travel together, and yet separately, is important. It speaks to me of the Social Leader not as architect of experience, but rather as story listener, as guide, as part of a community.
