I had a conversation with someone today, someone new to me, who i had been introduced to me by another person in my community. I think we enjoyed each others company and it felt like a great conversation.

The gift of a connection, with a context, is a wonderful thing.

Use your sixty seconds today to connect two people.

Provide a context and perhaps even a conversation: i’m introducing you to ‘A’ because i know you have a shared interest in ‘B’. I’d be interested to hear what you discover!’

Maybe we worry that we will waste peoples time with introductions: well we can always ask first. Or you could make it a three way conversation: i’m inviting you to join me for a virtual coffee to talk about [whatever will add value], and i’ll be bringing [A] along with me. I think you will enjoy their perspective’.

Communities have strength, but we may be able to weave connection between them. If you are interested in this idea, you may enjoy reading about ‘Interconnection’ in Social Leadership here.
