I caught up with an old friend briefly this morning. Although i had not really thought of him as an old friend until today. It was only as we were talking, about life, the children, shared memories, that i realised those things had played out over decades. Indeed, i probably had not seem him since before the Pandemic, but we just picked up our conversation where it had left off before.

Our social connections are important to us, not for what they do for us, but for how they are part of us. Part of our narrative, our story, our history, and hence our ‘self’.

Use your sixty seconds today to think of someone who is part of your story.

And what part they have played.

We do this not as an action with an output, but as a reflection into how our identity, stability, story is woven.
