I was all geared up for an extremely productive day: i’d even mapped out the blocks of time i would use for each important task. And i started by cycling River into school along the seafront.
But that’s where it went wrong, because i forgot my keys.
So i arrived home, unable to get in, watching as the minutes ticked by and my perfect plans fell apart.
My mounting frustration was tempered by seeing the bees arrive, to feed on the lavender. I stopped, sat down, and realised i should just take this time for presence and stillness. Which is what i did.
Use your sixty seconds today to consider where you find time to be present, and still. Or if you don’t have this time, how has it been stolen?
I only found it today through frustration, but i’m trying to welcome it now that it’s here.
I hope you’re having a great week!
