If you never talked about Culture in your Organisation again, you would still have a Culture.

We spend so long architecting things, thinking about them, trying to influence them, that we come to believe that our attention is necessary, essential even to ‘get things right’.

At times, this is true: we need to intervene or fix things. But at others, our action is simply a desire for control, or an innate busyness. The need to poke things.

Use your sixty seconds today to consider this: how important are you for Culture?

Do you give it, mould it, own it, or just inhabit it?

Of course the likelihood is that your answer will be ‘it depends…’, but nonetheless, some things we can put down, step away from, and they will be just fine.

So today our reflection is about leaving a bit more space, and stepping back. To be vigilant, but not needing to own the details.
