I was talking to someone about Social Leadership Daily and they asked if we are a Community.

For me it is, but my position is contextual: most days someone asks a question or leaves a comment, and i try to respond to each one. But that is a dialogue, not necessarily a community conversation.

Previously, when i have asked you all about it, some of you have said that you enjoy this space as a gentle reflection, or that you have found somewhere you feel you can safely ‘belong’, or even that you just enjoy the photos and sense of calm. Any or all of these things are valid, but are we a community, or just a subscription, or an email?

Perhaps it does not matter - perhaps we are different things at different times.

Use your sixty seconds today to consider this: are we a community.

If we are, how do you belong here. If we are not, then where is your community in practice?

Clearly i am feeling reflective on a wet Thursday morning! Wherever you are, and however you turn up here, just know that you are very welcome.

This is a gentle and sometimes vulnerable space, and everyone is welcome here.
