When I walked into the client office for the first time yesterday, the receptionist could not have given me a warmer welcome. Not fussy, not fancy, just that I felt extremely welcome. It was not so much the fact that I got a coffee and a comfy chair, but rather the way it was delivered. Predictably the word I would associate with it was ‘authenticity’, which is always a tricky word as it is a judgement more so than a specific behaviour.
I was also reminded that our company culture, for all the big words that we use, is held in these smallest of actions.
Use your sixty seconds today to consider what the smallest example of your culture is, in action.
And who delivers this? And who thanks them?
